Heather Potts represents clients in intellectual property and general business litigation matters. Ms. Potts has been recognized as a Northern California Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine, a distinction awarded to less than 2.5% of lawyers practicing in California under the age of 40 or with fewer than ten years of practice. Prior to joining Turner Boyd, Ms. Potts was an associate in the San Francisco offices of Latham & Watkins LLP, where she handled a wide range of matters in state and federal court, including complex commercial litigation, securities litigation, antitrust litigation, employment litigation and intellectual property litigation. Ms. Potts helped secure a victory for a client in California state court which was named by the California Daily Journal as one of the 2009 Defense Wins of the Year. She also served as Of Counsel at the law firm of Ogloza and Fortney LLP, where she represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide array of business litigation matters.

While at Turner Boyd, Ms. Potts has represented clients in patent litigations involving a variety of industries, from online gaming to heat sinks. Ms. Potts has represented client at all stages of litigation, from inception, through summary judgment and appeal to the Federal Circuit.

While in law school, Ms. Potts externed for the Honorable Vaughn Walker, then Chief Judge of the Northern District of California. In 2005, Ms. Potts was on the 1st Place team in the Roger J. Traynor Moot Court Competition.
