DIVERSITY

Turner Boyd Seraphine Diversity: Woman-Owned and Founded Firm

Diversity comes naturally to Turner Boyd Seraphine. The firm is majority woman-owned and was founded by two women, Julie Turner and Karen Boyd.

We have continued to promote diversity within the firm while also championing it outside of the firm.

TBS has always handily exceeded even the most diverse of BigLaw firms for women attorneys, women equity partners, ethnically diverse attorneys, and LGBTQ+ attorneys. All were hired for their commitment to the excellent practice of law.

To give back, TBS has endowed the Turner Boyd Seraphine Women in Intellectual Property Pipeline Scholarship. The annual scholarship supports college-level students who have shown a commitment to the advancement of women in STEM and who are interested in pursuing a career in intellectual property law.

Additionally, Jennifer Seraphine is one of the founding members of the Lead Counsel Summit, a group of lead counsel women who are dedicated to mentorship and working together toward increasing the number of women lead counsel in private practice in the area of intellectual property litigation and appeals through hands on, practical instruction.

TBS has pledged to promote diversity and inclusion through hiring and retention, promotion and leadership, and participation in legal community diversity initiatives. We strongly encourage applicants of diverse backgrounds to apply. The equity partners of TBS have appointed Keeley Vega as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion coordinator to further implement this pledge.

TBS is a premier member of Women Owned Law.
