But we believe that billing 2000 or more hours a year doesn’t serve the interests of our clients or ourselves. And we believe that we cannot be excellent lawyers without valuing our lives outside the office, our families, and our friendships. Instead, we litigate with focus, efficiency, and creativity, with our clients’ business needs firmly in mind, and with well-cultivated senses of proportion and humor. For this reason, we set hours expectations for associates and counsel at 1500 per year.
