Brian is an intellectual property litigator with experience in patent, copyright, and trade secret matters. He has worked on a breadth of matters, including before the International Trade Commission, involving a variety of technologies ranging from drug discovery to photovoltaic cells. He is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Brian received his bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering from UCLA and attended law school at the University of California, Davis School of Law (King Hall). In law school, he served as Executive Editor of the UC Davis Law Review, was named a “Top Oral Advocate” in Moot Court, and received a Witkin Award in Copyright Law.

Brian is from San Diego, California but mostly grew up abroad. His expatriate upbringing in the global technology hub of Shenzhen, China shows not only in his native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese but also in his enthusiasm for innovative technologies, fresh ideas, and creative problem-solving approaches.
